Every A2T client engagement adheres to our code of conduct framework, ethical guidelines and alignment with global coaching organizations and regulatory bodies.

A2T coaches to have a clear understanding of the ethical standards reflected below and adhere to them to maintain professionalism and trust.

These ethical guidelines and principles guide our A2T practice. Our coaches adhere to high standards to ensure the well-being and trust of our clients. Specific areas of the A2T Code of Conduct include:

Client Welfare:

  1. Prioritize the well-being and interests of our clients.
  2. Respect clients’ autonomy, choices, and values.
  3. Ensure that our coaching relationships are based on mutual trust and respect.


  1. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information, unless there is a risk of harm to the client or others.
  2. Clearly communicate the limits of confidentiality to clients.

Professional Competence:

  1. Stay informed about the latest developments in coaching methodologies and personal development practices.
  2. Continuously develop and enhance personal coaching skills through education and training.

Client Consent and Boundaries:

  1. Clearly define and communicate the scope, nature, and limitations of the coaching relationship.
  2. Obtain informed consent from clients before initiating any coaching process.

Integrity and Honesty:

  1. Be honest and transparent in all interactions with clients.
  2. Avoid conflicts of interest that may compromise the coaching relationship.

Cultural Sensitivity and Diversity:

  1. Respect and appreciate the diversity of clients, including cultural, religious, and personal differences.
  2. A2T Coaches and Associates continuous learning and education about cultural competence to better serve a diverse clientele.

Personal Development & Continuous Learning:

  1. Engage in regular self-reflection and personal development to ensure that personal biases do not interfere with the coaching process.
  2. Seek supervision or consultation when faced with challenging situations.
  3. Commitment to continuous improvement and personal betterment.
  4. A2T is committed to ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in coaching and personal development.

Client Empowerment:

  1. Foster the client’s autonomy and self-efficacy rather than promoting dependency on the coach.
  2. Encourage clients to take responsibility for their own decisions and actions.

Legal Compliance:

Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations governing coaching practices in the jurisdiction in which Awareness to Thrive Partnership operates.

Informed Consent:

Obtain clear and informed consent from clients before beginning the coaching relationship, outlining the coaching process, roles, and expectations.

Competence and Qualifications:

  1. Clearly communicate qualifications, training, and areas of expertise to clients.
  2. Refrain from offering services outside the scope of their competence and training.

Conflict of Interest:

Disclose any potential conflicts of interest and avoid situations where personal, financial, or professional interests may compromise the coaching relationship.

Honest Advertising and Representation:

Ensure that all promotional and marketing materials accurately represent the coach’s qualifications, experience, and the potential benefits of coaching.

Financial Integrity:

  1. Clearly communicate coaching fees and any financial arrangements.
  2. Handle financial matters with transparency and integrity.

Responsible Use of Technology:

Safeguard client information and ensure the secure and responsible use of technology in coaching interactions.


Refrain from discriminating against clients based on factors such as race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or socioeconomic status.

Professional Boundaries:

Maintain clear and appropriate professional boundaries with clients, including avoiding dual relationships that could compromise the coaching relationship.

Conflicts of Interest:

Disclose any potential conflicts of interest and avoid situations where personal, financial, or professional interests may compromise the coaching relationship.

Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure:

Feedback and Evaluation:

  1. Seek and welcome constructive feedback from clients and colleagues to enhance coaching effectiveness.
  2. Regularly evaluate and reflect on one’s coaching practice to identify areas for improvement.

Crisis Management:

Develop and communicate a plan for managing crisis situations, including referrals to appropriate professionals when necessary.
